Since the launch of the IRIS the Land Registry has been working with our contractor to enhance services in the light of operational experience and customer needs. We will streamline the search process by improving the IRIS online search functions. We have installed additional fax lines to increase the capacity of fax delivery of search orders to customers and acquired additional high speed printers to reduce waiting time for customers. To enhance the user friendliness of the Internet search services and self-service search for the public in general, Chinese language services were released in May 2005. Enhancement will continue throughout 2005. Further upgrade will follow the development of IRIS phase II, which is the system to support title registration, which we expect to launch in 2007.
