On 12 February 2005 statutory fees for search and copying were reduced. This reflected the Land Registry's achievements in its programme to improve the efficiency with which these services can be provided to the public due to investment in information technology, staff training and process improvement. The fees for current searches and historic searches were cut by $5 to $10 and $25 respectively. The fee for a copy of a land document was cut by $20 to $100, while that for a copy of a government lease was cut by $70 to $120. |
