Web Briefing on Land Registry’s Services for Planning Department

A web briefing session for around 40 participants from the Planning Department was held on 15 March 2021 to facilitate their understanding and use of the LR records in their daily work.

The briefing covered an overview of our land registration and land search services and was well received by the participants.

Revamped Website of the Land Registry

To update the website design, make it more user-friendly and easier for customers to search information with a view to enhancing the corporate image of the LR, our website has been revamped and released on 13 April 2021. Salient enhancements to the website are illustrated below:

• rolling banners to highlight the key services/messages;

• visual elements including photos and clip arts to give a contemporary and appealing design;


• four-level menu to guide users along their browsing journey and to get the required information easily and smoothly;

• collapsible widget to allow presentation of a brief content. The tool gives users a choice of revealing content to read it or bypassing the content, making navigation more efficient in the content-rich web pages;

• card-based layout and grouping by year to present the information systematically;


• statistical charts with enhanced layout and mouse-over effect to give details and key information clearly; and

• "Share to Social Media" in the header and footer to enable convenient sharing of website content via common social media channels.

Visit to the Central Imaging Centre by the Judiciary

A visit to the Central Imaging Centre was arranged for the colleagues of the Judiciary on 24 May 2021. During the visit, we exchanged views and shared experiences in document scanning operations as well as provision of quality document imaging services.
